Money can't buy you happiness
And binge watch is probably killing us
"Life isn't about money, it's about moments." ― David Castain

Health: We all have a favorite show we love to binge-watch. After all, binge-watching TV shows has become a common way for people to unwind and escape from daily life pressures. However, concerns are growing about the mental health effects of excessive binge-watching. Health experts warn that it can have both short-term and long-term consequences, including sleep disturbances, declining mental health, and strained relationships.
Psychologists point out that binge-watching can serve as an escape mechanism from stress, as it can temporarily switch off the brain's impulse control and decision-making functions. Adolescents, in particular, may turn to binge-watching as a way to cope with stress, potentially leading to social and developmental issues while also becoming a potential addiction.
This addictive nature can lead to the neglect of responsibilities, social isolation, and a decline in overall quality of life. As laughable as that is, it’s impacted more than a few a warrants our attention.
While binge-watching offers a tempting escape from daily life, it is important to recognize its potential impact on mental health and overall well-being. Balancing entertainment with other aspects of life is essential for maintaining a healthy relationship with streaming platforms and avoiding the pitfalls of excessive binge-watching.

Tech: Most people think that money equals happiness. But sometimes, it does the opposite. That was the case for Eric Yu.
He was a software engineer at Meta raking in $370k per year — a salary some people only dream of. He landed his dream job in 2016 but that dream soon turned sour when a couple of years later, he found himself having panic attacks.
It soon became clear that even with the high pay, this job wasn’t all worth the impact it was having on his mental state. And so he went to work building a plan to get out and back to the life that was meant for him.
Thankfully, Eric was able to do just that and is now happier than ever. Sure, money can do a lot, but if your job is harming your mental health, it’s time to draw up a plan to make a change.
