Hello, Travel Tuesday
Sales on Travel? Oh, it’s a thing
“There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.” –Jane Austen

Travel: Travel Tuesday has arrived! If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it’s pretty much the Black Friday of travel deals.
While this isn’t a brand new thing it has picked up popularity with more and more brands and hotels joining in offering mega deals on travel. This year, there are quite a few worth checking out:
40% off at Hilton
30% off through Priceline
$94 one-way ticket with Hawaiian Airlines
75% Celebrity Cruises
70% select luggage at Macy’s
The deals are plenty and a great way to either stock up on travel items or plan your next fun trip for a deal.
Beauty: Adele is launching a beauty brand 😱 Excuse us while we freak out about this!

Yes, it does seem like a lot of celebrities launch beauty lines, but we can’t hate them for diversifying, right? We don’t have a lot of details about this new beauty line from the singer other than we know she filed a trademark under the name, “The Shelbourne Collective.”
We don’t really understand the meaning behind that name, but I’m sure as things unfold there will be some explanation to the name and what the new line will bring.
Tech: Is this creepy or brilliant? The jury is still out on this controversial tech from Amazon…
Amazon is set to revolutionize corporate security by bidding farewell to PINs, keyfobs, passwords, and badges through the introduction of its palm-scanning technology for businesses. With the Amazon One Enterprise system, employees can effortlessly use their palm prints 🖐️to enter office buildings and access secure documents, promising a swift, convenient, and contactless experience.
The technology is designed to address the shortcomings of traditional authentication methods, highlighting the risks of loss, sharing, cloning, or theft associated with badges and key fobs, as well as the forgetfulness, guessability, and sharing issues linked to digital methods like PINs and passwords.
However, this biotechnology has sparked a privacy debate, and… we kinda get it. Despite the enthusiasm of some companies, privacy and security advocates have raised concerns about safety and invasion of privacy.
Amazon's palm-scanning technology faced criticism in 2022 when plans to implement it at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado were met with opposition from human rights groups and music artists. The controversy highlights the ongoing tension between convenience and privacy in the adoption of advanced biometric technologies.

Before it was a popular show on Apple+, Lessons in Chemistry was this amazing book by Bonnie Garmus.
Step into the extraordinary world of Elizabeth Zott, a trailblazing chemist challenging the norms of the early 1960s. The exception to the gender bias is Calvin Evans, a brilliant, Nobel Prize-nominated grudge-holder who, against all odds, falls for the brilliance of Elizabeth's mind, creating true chemistry.
Life takes a surprising turn, leaving Elizabeth Zott as a single mother, and unexpectedly thrusting her into the spotlight as the star of America's beloved cooking show, Supper at Six.
Her avant-garde cooking techniques, such as combining acetic acid with a pinch of sodium chloride, redefine culinary norms. Yet, not everyone welcomes her rising fame, for Elizabeth Zott is not merely imparting cooking skills to women; she's daring them to challenge the established order.
Brimming with uproarious moments, keen insights, and a dynamic supporting cast, Lessons in Chemistry unfolds as a distinctive and lively narrative that mirrors the exceptional nature of its protagonist, Elizabeth Zott. Brace yourself for a journey that seamlessly weaves humor, wisdom, and a touch of rebellion into the tapestry of 1960s science and cooking.
